Kid’s Country is a private family-owned child care facility established July 8, 1985.
It is our philosophy that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Our purpose is to provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development by playing, exploring and learning with others in a fun, safe and healthy environment, Young children are creative and receptive.
Our staff strive to nurture and encourage these qualities in every child. Kid’s Country welcomes and encourages positive parent involvement to support success in your child’s educational development.
Kid's Country Standards
Kid's Country is licensed by the State of North Carolina, Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Child Development and complies with all the standards and requirements put forth by that division.
We also maintain approval to participate in the Subsidized Child care Program through the department of social services, the Federal Child & Adult Care Food Program and the Partnership for Children of Johnston County.

Student Development
Kid's Country teachers follow a very structured schedule throughout your child's day, while also trying to have some time for flexibility. Our learning centers provide block play, housekeeping, dramatic play, reading, quiet play, science, art, manipulatives for exploring one's mind and problem solving, and an abundance of toys and equipment such as blocks, dolls, computers, records / record players, games, and books. Children work and play together in small groups in the learning centers around their room. We offer a curriculum based on the child's age and development.
